Join our Legal Affairs Committee
FCJ Refugee Centre is looking for experienced immigration and/or refugee lawyers to join its Legal Affairs Committee.
The Committee will provide support, guidance, and mentorship to FCJ’s in-house staff lawyer on a broad range of issues relating to immigration and refugee law.
Qualified applicants will be licensed to practice law by a provincial law society, and will have a minimum of five years practice experience in immigration and/or refugee law with expertise in any of the following areas: PR applications, including sponsorship applications and appeals; Temporary Residence Permits; Open Work Permits for Vulnerable Workers; administrative law; admissibility hearings; detention reviews; judicial review of RPD/RAD decisions.
This position is voluntary and remote, and the expected time commitment is approximately 4 hours per month.
Applicants may reside anywhere in Canada.
