This webinar is an overview on the refugee process and the situation that many refugee claimants are facing waiting for their eligibility interview, how to apply for legal aid, work permit, Refugee ID renewals, change of address, etc.

The facilitator will walk you through the refugee process in every stage and the difference between making an inland and a port of entry claim.

It includes information about barriers faced by refugee claimants (discrimination, language, etc.)  interpretation, timelines, the key steps refugee claimants must follow after making a claim.

The presentation includes a review of the resources available for refugees:  hearing information by Refugee Protection Division (IRB/RPD), mock hearing, etc.
