About this Collaborative Youth Action
CCR Youth Network, FCJ Refugee Centre Youth Network, Mary Ward Center, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto are inviting and mobilizing young newcomers and refugees across Canada to advocate for change using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Canada’s commitment to leaving no one behind in achieving better future.
Youth participants will have the opportunity to:
- Discover the SDGs that the Canadian government is reviewing in 2024, and how they connect to youth newcomers’ issues.
- Collaborate with peers to develop advocacy strategies focused on Climate Action, Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for Goals.
- Access exclusive resources and tools to elevate your voice and champion solutions.
- Build connections with like-minded youth and prepare for our June webinar, where we’ll engage directly with government decision-makers and the United Nations.
We encourage registered participants to research the SDGs before attending the webinar. This webinar will prioritize the participation of youth newcomers but is open to everyone, including CCR member and non-member organizations, Canadian-born youth, and youth allies.
In this episode of the Home is Here podcast, you can learn more about this project and how the youth are designing strategies to achieve greater engagement and help make the SDGs a reality:
