Location: FCJ Refugee Centre, 208 Oakwood Ave, York, ON M6E 2V4
Time Commitment: Minimum 2 hours per week, every Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 6pm

Role Description
The Musicbox Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the implementation and success of music education and enrichment activities for children and youth. This volunteer position is designed to foster creativity, confidence, and a love for music among participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Program Activities: Support the Music Box Program Coordinator in organizing and facilitating music sessions, workshops, and events for children and youth.
- Instrument Maintenance: Help maintain and organize musical instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition for use during program activities.
- Participant Engagement: Engage with program participants during sessions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment where children and youth feel encouraged to explore music.
- Setup and Cleanup: Assist with setting up and tidying up before and after each session or event, ensuring a safe and organized space for activities.
- Administrative Support: Aid in administrative tasks such as participant registration, attendance tracking, and distributing materials as needed.
- Promotion and Outreach: Assist in promoting the Music Box Program within the community, encouraging participation and raising awareness about the benefits of music education for children and youth.
Qualifications
- Passion for music and a desire to share this passion with children and youth.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to scheduled program sessions and events.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially in engaging with children and youth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
