Episode #23: Relax – Group Art Therapy
Come join us in-person for group art therapy and pick up some new skills. Hosted by Sister Paula, every Tuesday, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.
Episode #22: Uprooted Jr. Arts Program
We re excited to introduce to you a new program called Uprooted Junior Arts! As part of the FCJ Uprooted Series, the FCJ Youth Team is inviting you to a safe space for newcomer youth and children. Everyone between the age of 6-12 is invited to come together and create arts.
Episode #21: Yin Yoga at the Community Hour
As a part of our Community Hour activities, on July 21st we’ll have a Yin Yoga class, hosted by Dalal Abdul-Razzaq. Yin Yoga is a restorative and slow practice to release tension and connect to the body through mindful movement. Participants will need to bring a yoga mat, water and have access to a quiet room.

The Recognition of Emotions workshop is back on July 14th! Participants would need to have a white sheet of paper and several colors: purple, orange, green, yellow, blue, red… Hosted by Patricia Pabón Trujillo.

Episode #18: Collage Making at the Community Hour
During this community hour, which will be hosted by Carter García on June 30th, we will be using commonplace items such as newspapers, scraps, fabric, ribbon and stickers to make an art piece. Being creative is all about using what you have, and that is what collaging is all about! Materials will be provided, but we encourage attendees to bring their own materials and add their personal touch!

Episode #16: Theatre Workshop at the Community Hour
We talk to Alireza Gorgani Dorcheh, who will be facilitating the Theatre Workshop in our Community Hour series, on June 16th. In the workshop, Alireza offers a brief introduction to theatre and film, and works with the young participants toward making collaborative short performances that combine theatre and film with the topic of migration.
Episode #15: Guided Yoga at the Community Hour
Today we talk to Carter García, who will be facilitating the Guided Yoga in our Community Hour series, on June 9th. During this community hour we will be moving through the poses that make up the cycle of sunrise salutations. Attendees will get a chance to focus on their movement and follow their breath through this cycle, as well as to learn some of the basic poses in yoga. It is very beginner friendly! All body types, ages and levels of movement are welcome. We will be showing some modifications for the poses and the class will be guided in both Spanish and English.
